This privacy policy explains how Trivet Recipes collects your personal information, and how that information is used.

What Information We Gather

i. Information that you voluntarily give us

In order to submit content to Trivet Recipes, you provide us with an email address and a chosen display name, and you may provide a URL to a personal website and/or a photograph or other image to use as an avatar.

ii. Information collected automatically

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information.

Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device. Tracking technologies also used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze our Service.

How This Information is Used

We use your information to help you use Trivet Recipes, and, in some cases, to keep you up to date about the site and its operations.

Your user account allows you to submit content and share it with other users of the site. With the exception of your email address, any information you disclose through your account becomes public, including your avatar, your chosen display name, and any content submissions you have made.

With Whom Do We Share the Information We Gather?

If you opt in to receive newsletters or other updates, we will share your information with third-party services for maintaining mailing lists and sending news and marketing emails. These services could include Substack, Mailchimp, and/or TinyLetter, or other, similar services.

We will share personal information if and when the law requires us to do so, such as to comply with a legal action or investigation, or to cooperate with government authorities.

This site contains links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for these websites’ content or their privacy practices. You agree to use these third-party websites at your own responsibility and risk.

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

Once you leave our Sites or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our Sites’ terms.

Changes to this Policy

We may periodically make changes to this Privacy Policy. We will make updates on this page. In case of a significant or material update, we will notify you by email. If you object to a change, you can stop using Trivet Recipes.
